Before his disappearance, Wright went to his former wife’s home in Collierville to visit his children. He was supposed to meet the children again the following day to take them to his home to spend the rest of the summer with him. Wright was last seen leaving his former wife’s home.

The Wright family issued a statement:

“Lorenzen’s family has come together to mourn his loss and honor his legacy,” the statement said. “We appreciate your thoughts, prayers and condolences as they are comforting at this very difficult time. Additionally, we ask that you please respect our privacy as we try to cope with his sudden loss.”

Spain will be facing Netherlands on Sunday. Netherlands and Spain are both first-timers in the World Cup final.

Germany is the favorite in today’s game, they have crushed in the quarterfinals powerhouse Argentina, the team that was expected by many to make it through the finals. Germany’s win stunned Argentina, with a score like that, 4-0! Spain’s journey to the semifinals is not as magnificent as Germany’s; the Spaniards battled hard against Paraguay to get a 1-0 victory in the quarterfinals.

Spain started in this tournament as the heavy favorite whereas Germany was not really seen as a team to watch out for. But Spain lost to Switzerland in their opening game and the favor, from that moment on, was no longer on Spain. Germany’s good performance in the tournament makes them the favorite now.

After the incident, Rangers team president Nolan Ryan issued the following statement:
