As Nicki Swift previously reported, Miller, whose real name was Malcolm McCormick, tragically died of an apparent overdose in his San Fernando Valley, Calif. home on September 7, 2018. "Authorities were called and McCormick was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:51 a.m".
According to the office's report, he died from "mixed drug toxicity".
Fentanyl is a powerful opioid pain medication and is much stronger than heroin.
The report says a police investigator found an empty bottle of liquor and drug paraphernalia, including a $20 bill with white powder residue on it was in Miller's pocket.
Miller's male assistant told cops he was not aware of the rapper consuming any alcohol, prescription medication, or drugs the night prior.
Mac struggled with substance abuse over the past few years and that is what reportedly led to Ariana Grande ending her relationship with the rapper earlier this year. The assistant told police that McCormick had "several recent 'slips, ' " the most recent on September 4.
Cormier Makes History, Defends Heavyweight Belt
Much like attacking a bucket of chicken, Cormier tagged Lewis everywhere: leg, thigh, and then the neck for the decisive blow. Cormier has never lost to anyone except Jon Jones , the star-crossed former light heavyweight champion who beat him twice.
The report described the substances found in Miller's apartment at the time of his death.
An unnamed insider told People "this is such a shock".
His death was quickly followed by an outpouring of grief and tributes to the young musician, who released his fifth studio album Swimming less than a month before he died. Performers at a tribute concert for him last week included Chance the Rapper, Travis Scott and John Mayer. She posted an affectionate video of him on her Instagram page weeks after his death, and released a new song, "Thank U, Next," on Saturday that mentioned Miller, along with Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson, her fiance until recently.
