New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady (12) throws the ball as quarterback Brian Hoyer (2) stands nearby during an NFL football practice, Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018, in Foxborough, Mass.

While the anticipation of seeing how Watt will perform in his first regular-season game since October 8 is great, Watt insists that after everything he's been through he's simply savoring every moment instead of worrying what might happen. His health concerns have raised doubts over his ability to return to form.

"I think that's the biggest thing ... just not letting those guys get comfortable inside the pocket", Hightower said. Obviously the last two years we've said the same thing. "It would be like getting close to the top of the mountain and thinking, 'Nah, I'm good.' It's like, no, you worked really hard to get to this point, why not finish it off?" "He's shown improvement, he's matured a lot since previous year".

"I love playing football", Brady said.

Historically, the Patriots have had success against the Texans but the advantage Houston has this year is the element of surprise, which could potentially be a problem. "It's been working out for me", Mathieu added. The Texans allowed an NFL-high 27.3 points per game in 2017.

"We expect every player that we play against to be at their best".

In early August, reports surfaced that the Patriots had restructured Brady's contract to make it richer with performance incentives.

The heated exchange escalated as the senator told Jones to "get your hand off me, don't touch me". Other tech companies have also put a temporary block on Jones' accounts, including Facebook .

In the offseason, New England moved on from running backs Dion Lewis (Tennessee Titans) and Mike Gillislee (New Orleans Saints), who finished first and second on the team in rushing yards, as well as receivers Brandin Cooks (Los Angeles Rams) and Danny Amendola (Miami Dolphins), who were second and third in receiving yards in 2017. Since Brady became the Patriots' starting quarterback dating way back in 2001, the franchise have never had a losing season and have won 14 division titles ever since.

"They have a lot of disruptive players", Patriots offensive coordinator-quarterbacks coach Josh McDaniels said. Just look at him.

The Patriots also feature new faces in the backfield with first-round pick Sony Michel and former Cincinnati Bengal Jeremy Hill joining Rex Burkhead and James White. The two AFC teams are expected to be Super Bowl contenders in 2018, and it all starts here.

Watson, as a rookie a year ago, made six starts for the Texans with 19 touchdown passes. The Texans gave them fits all four quarters but, the Patriots escaped with a 36-33 victory.

"One story I think really sums it up for Tom is when we playing at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am, we were in the same group", he said on Ian Rapoport's recent "Rap Sheet + Friends" podcast.

"I could tell people I'm feeling unbelievable, I could tell people I'm feeling bad", he told a conference call. "Whatever everyone else thinks doesn't affect my day-to-day life, but I'm going to go out there and try and make those people I mentioned proud".
