President Donald Trump says China is intimidated by his intelligence and thus he will win on the trade issue.

He said Beijing doesn't want him or the Republicans "to win" because he is "the first president ever to challenge China on trade".

Now, Iran "is once again the victim of a USA siege", the Bolivian president said. That's because China's retaliatory response in raising tariffs on soybeans will affect the top-10 soybean producing states in the US.

The US midterms elections are due to take place in November 2018.

"Regrettably, we found that China has been attempting to interfere in our upcoming 2018 election, coming up in November, against my administration", Mr. Trump said. Trump tweeted earlier that these "propaganda ads" are being placed "because we are beating them on Trade, opening markets". And we are winning and we're winning big. "We don't want them to meddle or interfere in our upcoming election".

In a July report by Chinese regime mouthpiece Xinhua, a spokeswoman for China's foreign affairs, Hua Chunying said, "Innovation and intellectual property should serve the progress and well-being of humanity, and not be reduced to being a tool for the U.S.to suppress other countries' development and protect/defend its personal gains".

In China, some headlines in official media contrasted what they called Trump's "crazy talk and accusations" with the "indifference" of China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

A senior administration official on Wednesday sought to further flesh out Trump's allegation that China "has been attempting to interfere" in the 2018 midterm elections, but offered no concrete evidence to back up the President's claim.

All those products are targeted in the latest trade sanctions on USA imports. A Chinese official said China can not hold talks on ending the trade dispute while the USA "holds a knife" to Beijing's neck by imposing tariff hikes.

Trump's accusation is likely to reverberate in Beijing, where Chinese leaders have become increasingly convinced the Trump administration is pursuing a strategy aimed at containing the country's economic growth. I mean, it could be Russian Federation, but it could also be China.

When Trump spoke about election meddling in the 2018 midterms, he did not mention Russian Federation - a country that the US has punished with sanctions for attempting to influence the 2016 election.
