Availability in T-Mobile stores will surely boost the popularity of OnePlus, as its phones come with lower price tags with the same - or better - performance than competing phones from Apple and Samsung.

According to sources in the industry, the T-Mobile OnePlus 6T will be tailored specifically for the carrier and launch in October. This hints that there will be a specific version of OnePlus 6T which will be optimised for T-Mobile's network reports CNET.

In the past, OnePlus has sold all of its devices int he United States unlocked and directly to the customers. The company has become well-known among Android enthusiasts by selling high-end unlocked phones at more aggressive prices than other flagships, but having the OnePlus 6T on the shelves of a USA carrier could expose OnePlus to a whole new audience. Those will once again be GSM-only smartphones, meaning they'll work on AT&T and T-Mobile's networks but will be incompatible with Verizon and Sprint's infrastructure. The smartphone will also be sold via T-Mobile stores. The company did take a while to partner with a carrier, but that is fine. It was expected that OnePlus would enable the wireless charging on the device.

While the OnePlus 6T may forgo a scanner inside the screen to keep costs down, it could adopt a similar looking design choice. And this company also owns Vivo and Oppo. This phone further shrinks the already slim display notch on the OnePlus 6 and includes an in-display fingerprint reader. The model will also support 600mHz bands, otherwise known as band 71.
