These Rifts act as mini portals that drop you into the same area from the sky, providing a quick escape route if an enemy squad has you pinned down.

Fortnite Season 5 will be available to play today on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. We also know the update will add in the two skins featured in the image below, which seem to support the theory that the update will be themed around multiple worlds and time periods colliding.

The new Battle Pass also launches with Season 5, and as ever it can only be purchased in-game and costs 950 V-Bucks.

Additionally, people with the Battle Pass will able to get a bunch of new cosmetics like costumes and new alternate looks for the classic pickaxe that every player starts with, plus some fun new toys and games to mess around with. Adding a new dimension to the game like this helps to prevent the experience from growing stale, while also expanding the ever-growing list of things Fortnite offers which other Battle Royale games don't.

'Appreciate your allies, you don't have many:' EU's Tusk to Trump
The NATO chief said that the Europeans and Canada are projected to spend around US$266 billion more on defence by 2024 . Trump declined to go with either option, calling Putin a "competitor" instead.

Starting in Season 5, progressive challenges will no longer be restricted to a single season.

A new vehicle, called the All Terrain Kart (ATK), has made its way from the real world into the Fortnite world as well. Not only does this vehicle drive you and your mates around, but the roof acts as a bounce pad and if you leap over obstacles, everyone in the ATK can lean back and release simultaneously for a higher jump.

This time around, there are tons of new features for you to enjoy. You'll also be able to see how numerous pellets from a shot hit the target, which will be displayed by marks within the reticle, allowing you to see at a glance how effective your shot was. Most importantly, however, there will be a small delay when you want to fire a shotgun straight after using another, so this will stop people stacking and spraying the hell out of each other with pumps. To rectify this, players can earn XP for reviving their teammates in 50v50 and Teams of 20 matches.
