Happier times: Demi Lovato, 25, has been rushed to a hospital in Los Angeles after allegedly overdosing on heroin. The singer is reportedly now being treated, but additional information about her condition or what exactly happened are not yet available. In June 2018 she released a song, Sober, detailing how she had relapsed after the treatment. The track, "Sober", included lyrics such as: "I'm so sorry I'm not sober anymore" and "I promise I'll get help". The "Kream" rapper recently spoke with ET about Lovato's relapse, and was supportive of the singer's decision to be open about her struggles.

She was also scheduled to perform at Echo Beach at Budweiser Stage in Toronto on Sunday, July 29 with Jason Mraz. "She is a light in this world, and I am sending my love to her and her family", DeGeneres tweeted.

As news of Lovato's condition spread, there was an outpouring of support on social media from other celebrities and musicians.

The star has struggled with substance addiction for many years.

She added: "I was either craving drugs or on drugs".
