The good news for the USA market is that the OPPO Find X will be the first phones from the manufacturer to be released in the United States market.

It was the last innovation that Oppo emulated with their Find X, a near all-screen smartphone which also hides its selfie camera behind a motorized slider.

Other than the pop-up camera tray, the Oppo Find X comes with the usual mix of specs for a high-end flagship.

It said that the 3D structured light module in Find X can project 15,000 dots, building a precise and complete 3D module of a user's face, and then compares with the registered face of the owner to unlock.

The rest of the hardware specs in the Oppo Find X Lamborghini Edition are the same as in the standard Find X, with a 6.42-inch AMOLED display that has an over 93 percent screen-to-body ratio, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 8GB of RAM, and cameras that rise from the top of the phone.

Open up the camera app, and switch to the front facing camera though, and an 8MP (f/2.0) will gracefully rise from the top of the handset.

There's a growing trend to offer increasingly bigger displays with a high screen-to-body ratio and bezels as slim as possible. In total there will be two variations of the phone, one with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and the other one with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

And on the back of it there is the must-have dual-camera setup with 16- and 20-megapixel sensors.

Stocks, loonie tumble as Trump threatens new China tariffs
Then China followed suit, unveiling 25 per cent duties on US$ 50 billion in United States imports - matching the U.S. rates. However, business expert Derek Scissors of the American Enterprise Institute says the US could gain from the dispute.

And it's priced to match, starting at US$1,150 - making it even more expensive than the iPhone X's US$999 price tag.

Surprise announcement from early this morning, the Find X from Oppo is coming to the US. The Oppo didn't mention an exact launch date for the Lamborghini edition device, but Oppo Find X is expected to launch on July 12.

Oppo is also launching their version of Apple's Animoji, with the OPPO Omoji. However, its motorized design means that the Find X misses out on something that we've all taken for granted in today's phones: waterproofing. Oppo also claims that its "O-Face Recognition is 20 times safer than fingerprint recognition for unlocking the phone".

Absent from the device is a headphone jack and a fingerprint scanner.

The Oppo Find X blends a seamless body style with unique functionality, and popular features like Google Lens. During the launch event, the company says that the pop-up tests have been done to guarantee durability. Oppo is calling them "Bordeaux Red" and "Glacier Blue", and saying they shimmer like a "precious gemstone". The camera is also powered by AI assistance.

Battery The Oppo Find X is backed by a 3730mAh battery with support for Super VOOC charging technology.

Users can charge the 3730-mAh battery using the USB 2.0 Type-C port on the bottom of the phone.
