Last month, Mannino's dash cam captured a shocking sight showing a toddler running all by himself in the right lane of a busy highway.

Sgt. Anthony Mannino, a 24-year veteran of the Naperville, IL, Police Department, is being called a hero for his actions last month.

Mannino was presented his department's lifesaving award on Thursday, the department said. "I just wanted to get to him quickly and make sure he had no opportunity to move". The 1-year-old was running alongside traffic, including large trucks whizzing by at unsafe speeds. Mannino then tells dispatchers he would begin looking for the boy's parents.

Electronic Arts has also released a new official multiplayer trailer for Battlefield 5 that you can also watch below. You can battle solo or in teams, and take to land, sea, and air vehicles to conquer your enemies.

The department's post says the child "escaped his mother's watchful eye" and wandered along Route 59 as traffic whizzed by. No one was hurt in the incident. He responded quickly, parking his squad vehicle to block traffic and pulling the little boy to safety.

Mannino says the mother showed up moments later and "obviously was very emotional". Police said it was an accident.
