The Facebook-owned Instagram is all set to introduce its in-app payments feature which will allow users to make purchase of their desired products without leaving the app. The popular Android and iOS chat app may start showing ads after the exit of its CEO Jan Koum. Along with support for in-line video playback, there is also a Picture-in-picture mode which allows users to minimise the video while performing other functions within WhatsApp. Even though the feature has not been noticed by the users, the news suggests that it shouldn't be long and that the users will be able to update to this version of WhatsApp in the coming weeks. YouTube in-app videos run only on iOS devices running iOS 10 or lower.

Thankfully, with today's update to the service, you can now view videos from Facebook or Instagram right in a conversation thread itself without worrying that you would be force to leave WhatsApp for the duration of the video.

Facebook is opening 2 new AI research labs in Seattle and Pittsburgh, poaching talent from local universities, and prompting fears ... The update empowers the group admins to take away the admin rights from other participants. Group leaders only have to go to the "Group Info" menu, tap the person's name, and then hit "Dismiss as Admin". Now for users those who have this feature, they can add their debit/credit cards and set a profile PIN for additional security. Or has the messaging app been mired by the stench of the Cambridge Analytica story?

Jeffrey Tambor Confirmed To Be In Netflix's 'Arrested Development' Season 5
A few days ago, we learned that after 5 years, we're getting a new season of Arrested Development on Netflix . During that time, fellow Arrested Development actor David Cross said the cast "stand behind" Tambor.

With support for audio, video, images and whatnot, WhatsApp is shaping up to be a very powerful communications platform for users the world over.

However, it has been reported that Koum's departure is the result of clashes over issues like encryption, and also comes after he unloaded billions of dollars worth of Facebook stock. In fact, the executive said, people have already used about 2billionminutes of video calling on WhatsApp alone (and Zuckerberg apparently contributes to them, relying on the service to video chat with his young daughters when he's on the road).

If you try to open a chat with an incorrect WhatsApp phone number, the instant messaging app will notify you as "phone number shared via url is invalid".
