That 1 million figure includes those who have purchased the game, played used copies, Game Pass users, and anyone who has gameshared.

Undead Labs' State of Decay 2 has had over 1 million players two days after its Standard Edition release date. It's still an impressive feat, just one that needs to be clarified first.

"Since Early Access for the Ultimate Edition on May 18 and the global release of the Standard Edition on May 22, we have had over a million survivors across the globe playing and creating their own zombie survival story, Microsoft confirms". Furthermore, over 41,000 unique broadcasts have been logged over Mixer, Twitch, and YouTube, amounting to over 3.5 million hours of gameplay. There have been over 675 million zombies killed, over 6 million fireworks and firecrackers lit, over 6 million bags of snacks eaten, and over 2 million textbooks read. The game now boasts a disappointing score of 68 on Metacritic, indicating mostly mixed to negative reviews.

Not only has the tech giant continued to add games to the subscription service, but they have also kept their word by adding both Sea of Thieves and State of Decay 2 to it on their release days. State of Decay 2 is now available on Xbox Games Pass, Xbox One's game streaming service.

Much of the community has expressed concerns about console frame rate issues and bugs.

State of Decay 2 has only been out a coupe of days, and it's already hit the one million players mark.

"The team at Microsoft Studios and Undead Labs continue to work on updating the game to address these issues as our number one priority", said Xbox marketing general manager Aaron Greenberg.
