President Donald Trump has formally disclosed that he reimbursed his personal attorney more than $100,000 past year, apparently in connection with the payment of hush money to a porn star, government records show.
Apol wrote that he considers Trump's payment to Cohen to be a repayment on a loan and that it was required to be included in Trump's June 2017 disclosure.
In a note, the Office of Government Ethics said it had concluded that the information related to the payment made by Cohen was required to be reported and that the information provided met the disclosure requirement for a reportable liability. But Trump's lawyers have previously said that Trump reimbursed Cohen for the $130,000 hush money payment he made to porn star Stormy Daniels.
The scandal engulfing Cohen has opened a new front in the legal challenges dogging Trump, grabbing headlines from Special Counsel Robert Mueller's ominous investigation into possible collusion between the president's 2016 campaign and Russian Federation.
In a footnote in tiny type on page 45 of his 92-page disclosure, Mr Trump said he reimbursed Mr Cohen for "expenses" ranging from $100,001 to $250,000 dollars (€211,473). The leaker said they knew the risks, and "To say that I am terrified right now would be an understatement".
Ms Daniels' lawyer, Michael Avenatti, tweeted, "Mr Trump's disclosure today conclusively proves that the American people were deceived". Yahoo News reported that while Cohen claimed he stopped pursuing Trump World Tower Moscow in January 2016, text messages and emails obtained by prosecutors and congressional investigators suggest he was still working on the deal in May 2016, when Trump was cinching the Republican presidential nomination.
"We wouldn't do it without him", Giuliani said on "The Ingraham Angle".
Al-Rumaihi told Cohen that Qatar expected to invest in Trump plans to solicit investment in a US infrastructure programme, the Post reported.

The White House stated in a footnote to the filing that it was listing the payment "in the interest of transparency", even though it contended it did not have to make the disclosure. The Mar-a-Lago resort, where the president frequently escaped for winter weekends, collected more than $25 million last year, down from $37 million from last year's report.
The Trump Hotel in Washington, D.C., which opened during his presidential campaign in 2016, saw $40 million in revenues. One of his biggest lenders is Ladder Capital, which has lent more than $100 million.
The debt figures are given in broad ranges in the report and capped at $50 million, so it's unclear just how much he actually owes.
The request to Qatar would be the latest such exchange offered by Cohen to be made public following acknowledgements by U.S. and European companies last week that they paid Cohen, who was Trump's lawyer for about a decade and self-described "fixer" for Trump.
Though it was published three decades ago, Trump's "The Art of The Deal" previous year generated as much as $1 million.
