Bethesda finally lifted the lid on what to expect from open-world shooter Rage 2 with a gameplay trailer.
The trailer promises that Rage 2 will have an open world for players to explore and "insane action".
As someone who's never played the original due to the PC launch issues, I'm starting to feel a pull to go experience it all this time later, because the new game looks simply fantastic. Breaking somewhat from their trend of rapid-fire releases, it will be Spring 2019 before we can start raiding Rage 2's wasteland on PC, Xbox One, and PS4. If Rage 2 can bring the best out of all these franchises while still having its own originality, then we're in for something special.
"Rage 2" is a post-apocalyptic first-person shooter from Id Software and Avalanche Studios. The latter is obviously known for its FPS prowess with the likes of Doom, while Avalanche Studios is the king of open world mayhem, as you'll likely know from Mad Max and Just Cause 3. The year is 2185 and with human numbers dwindling, it's up to you to stand up, be counted and smash things up in an epic display of explosive aggression and psychedelic haze.
Ebola vaccine developed by Canada okayed for Congo
The vaccine was developed by the Canadian government and its production has been licensed to Merck in the U.S. Health officials are following up with almost 400 people identified as contacts of Ebola patients.
While the game is now official, Bethesda is yet to announce Rage 2 platform availability.
We're not sure whether Rage 2 will continue the storyline from the first game, but it does seem to have a similar setup. Now you'll have to rage for justice and freedom. You roam the open roads as Walker, the last Ranger of the wasteland, and you are dead set on destroying The Authority and ending its oppressive rule.
We get to see how cars, explosives and guns are used as weapons.
Along the way you'll pilot everything from monster trucks to gyrocopters; if you can see it, you can drive it, apparently.
Fight against ferocious factions for control of the wasteland, each featuring a rogue's gallery of madmen, mutants, and monsters hungry for blood.
