The NCAA announced Sunday that three of the 16 regionals that make up the opening weekend of its national championship tournament will be held at sites in the Old North State.

The Boilermakers are in the NCAA Tournament for only the third time in their history, being selected Monday afternoon to the Chapel Hill Regional, hosted by No. 6 national seed North Carolina.

The Tigers men's basketball team earned a share of the SEC regular-season title with Tennessee before being eliminated by Clemson in the second round of the 2018 NCAA Tournament in March.

For the first time, the NCAA Division I Baseball Committee listed national seeds 1-16. The victor goes on to the Super Regionals next weekend.

State will begin its postseason run on Friday at 7 p.m. against fourth-seeded Army.

Warriors’ Andre Iguodala ruled out for Game 7
Missed shots and turnovers allowed the Cavs to climb to within four at halftime, and the Celtics' offense never really recovered. He finished with 35 points, 15 rebounds and nine assists as he secured his sixth straight win in a Game 7.

The last four teams in the field-Dallas Baptist, Northeastern, Oklahoma State and Troy-feel like the committee was doing penance for the way it treated Stetson, packing in mid-major at-large bids at the expense of state schools like Arizona and IL. This marks the 17th time in 22 years that at least five Big 12 teams will participate in the regionals. The Tar Heels were upset by fourth-seeded Davidson past year.

The Pirates are the No. 12 overall seed, matched against the victor of the Arkansas regional. This new format, in which the No. 1 seed's regional lines up with the No. 16 seed's and so on, disregards conference ties and appears to give the national seeds a draw closer to what they deserve. No. 2-seed Louisville will play No. 3-seed Kent State in the other matchup.

Game 5 - Game 3 victor vs. Game 5 victor, 3 p.m. Not only will the Blue Devils be there, along with top-seeded Georgia and No. 3 Troy, but the No. 4 seed in the field is the Big South champion Campbell Camels.

Game 2 - Purdue (37-19) vs. Houston (36-23), 4 p.m.

Should either of the teams survive and advance, they would play a Super Regional against the victor of the Texas Tech regional.
