Call of Duty announce Battle Royale mode in Black Ops 4

We're talking about the campaign, which the game developer Treyarch has confirmed will not be part of the upcoming title. Players will also find and drive land, sea and air vehicles. Black Ops 4 goes deeper than ever before into the fiction of multiplayer, where players will explore the world of Specialists - who they are, why they exist, and what battles they fight together - while mastering their gameplay through solo and multiplayer combat experiences.

It was only a matter of time until Call of Duty got in on the Battle Royale trend.

Black Ops 4's standard multiplayer mode, revealed with an action-packed trailer, is all about the classes. The beta for Black Ops 3 was from August 26, 2015 through August 30, 2015 before the game released on November 6, 2015.

This alters the fundamental mentality of a CoD firefight: instead of a straight up battle with one player winning and one dying, this allows you to think more tactically. Gone are thrust jumps and wall running, replaced by good, old fashioned "boots on the ground" gameplay and tight, strategic maps. It will feature the same gameplay style of the Black Ops series, but everything will be bigger and better than ever. This means that you'll nearly always still be able to shoot even if you're calling in a scorestreak, mantling, or throwing a grenade.

From what we've seen of the Zombies mode so far, it's clear that Activision and Treyarch are taking the mode seriously.

The second campaign called Voyage of Despair, takes place on the legendary Titanic ship, a stark contrast from IX's arena. Probably not, unless Treyarch decide to release the game for free. And yes, "Blackout" will be available from launch. From a look at the fast-paced Specialist driven multiplayer to the announcement that it will launch alongside three fully featured Zombie campaigns plus the new battle royale mode called Blackout.

Call of Duty has definitely changed over the last 15 years. Though this battle royale mode is similar to PUBG and Fortnite, it is created to feel like Call of Duty.
