A Officer on Cape Cod has been shot from the head and killed Thursday while serving a warrant, local media mentioned.

In a Facebook posting, the Yarmouth Police Department announced the vigil to honor Gannon and to support his family as they grieve his loss.

Authorities say a police officer has been shot while serving a warrant at a MA residence. "Sean was a wonderful young man, and I'm not just saying that".

"We're going to miss him terribly, our department is going to miss him terribly", said Police Chief Frank Frederickson. "We are also praying tonight because of its retrieval of Officer Gannon's k-9 associate, who was hurt in today's tragic incident".

BlackRock profit rises in volatile quarter, shares up
Mcdaniel Terry & Co decreased its stake in Microsoft (MSFT) by 1.06% based on its latest 2017Q4 regulatory filing with the SEC. ValuEngine lowered shares of BlackRock from a "buy" rating to a "hold" rating in a research note on Wednesday, March 7th.

Gannon's K9 partner was also injured during the shooting and was rushed to a veterinary hospital for treatment.

Thomas Latanowich, 29, hung his head throughout his brief arraignment in Barnstable District Court, speaking only to answer "yes" when the judge asked if he understood the proceedings.

O'Keefe said the last prison time Latanowich served was a four- to five-year sentence on gun charges. After Gannon's death, police and firefighters gathered to escort the fallen officer from Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis to the medical examiner's office. Baker also ordered all USA and state flags on state buildings lowered to half-staff in honor of the fallen officer.
