Microsoft's Windows 10 operating system is moving closer to overtaking Windows 7, although the adoption rate of Windows 10 has slowed down over time. According to Mary Jo Foley at ZDNet, Microsoft announced a major reorganization of the company today.

Rajesh Jha, executive vice president, was tapped to lead the Experiences & Devices team. One of my deeply held lessons from my Exchange days was the importance of that feedback loop with customers and fans, and that's why we created the Windows Insider Program so we could build Windows 10 led by your feedback.

"He thanks the company that he called "[his] work, [his] team, and [his] objective for 21 years" and plans to "now take some time to train for a half Ironman, learn to play the piano or guitar...[learn] more about genomics and robotics" and spend more quality time with his wife and kids. "He will work with me on the transition over the coming months", Nadella said in an internal email to employees on Thursday.

Scott Guthrie will lead the Cloud + AI Platform. One of the last public appearances made by Myerson was in December during the Qualcomm-Windows platform event.

Ball tampering plot: Smith, Warner banned for 12 months
He was filmed not only rubbing the ball with the dirtied tape but also concealing the evidence down the front of his pants . However, Rohit Sharma has come out in support for Smith who was gutted during the press conference earlier in the day.

In a post at LinkedIn, Windows and Devices Group Executive Vice President Myerson described it as "an emotional day" sharing news of his departure after 21 years at Microsoft. The company is increasingly focussing on enterprise technology and solutions such as Office 365 and not so much on Windows or devices. Foley further says Panos Panay will get a Chief Product Officer title but otherwise remains the head of Microsoft devices.

The letter also lists that Jason Zander will take over as the executive VP of Microsoft Azure. "The goal of the [Cloud + AI Platform] team is to drive platform coherence and compelling value across all layers of the technology stack, starting with the distributed computing fabric (cloud and edge) to AI (infrastructure, run times, frameworks, tools and high-level services around perception, knowledge and cognition)".

Nadella said that Myerson helped to plan the reorg and will be on standby to help during the transition.

Nadella's explanation for what he put under Guthrie was laden with industry jargon, but the point is to allow Microsoft to offer its apps and services via the cloud to everything from mobile phones to corporate servers. Eric Boyd was assigned as lead of a new team called "AI Cognitive Services & Platform". AI + Research, the company's third engineering team that "is instrumental in the key technology advances required across all our product teams", will still be led by Harry Shum, Mr. Nadella wrote.
