US ready for trade war says US President Donald Trump

President Donald Trump said Tuesday his administration is preparing "strong" measures to prevent Russian Federation from meddling in November midterm elections.

Trump said Russian interference "had no impact" on votes in 2016 but that they did meddle in the election. "Probably there was meddling from other countries", Trump said.

Trump insisted he wasn't anxious about meddling in the upcoming mid-term elections and said the United States is taking action to make sure of that.

Asked by a Swedish journalist whether he was concerned Russian Federation could have an effect on the midterms, Trump insisted during his news conference that the United States would prevent any election interference efforts.

In another public departure from the U.S. intelligence community's assessment, President Donald Trump said Tuesday that "other countries and other individuals" may have interfered in the 2016 United States election.

"One of the things were learning is it is always good - its old-fashioned, but its always good to have a paper backup system of voting". It also acts as a protecting power for the USA in the country.

Hours later, White House economic adviser Gary Cohn, who has opposed the tariffs, announced his plans to depart the White House, another signal that the president intends to go through with the penalties.

"You have to be very vigilant", Trump said. It's called paper. Not highly complex computers. "I think it's better for the European Union and U.S. to find some way to cooperate in order to deal with the situation".
