GMC has revealed its latest pickup, the 2019 Sierra AT4, a new trim that aims to combine off-road ability with lashings of tech you wouldn't typically find in a truck. The Sierra AT4 comes standard with the MultiPro Tailgate and is available with the carbon fiber box that each debuted on the 2019 Sierra. Hill Descent Control and a traction selection system for handling a variety of terrains are also included.
Riding two inches higher than the standard 2019 Sierra, the AT4 comes with standard features like all-wheel-drive with a two-speed transfer case, locking rear differential, Rancho monotube shock absorbers designed specifically for off-roading, along with skid plates and 18- or 20-inch alloy wheels fitted with all-terrain tires or optional, mud-loving Goodyear Wrangler Duratecs.
Based on the new 2019 Chevrolet Silverado, the GMC Sierra (including the AT4 model) looks to stand out from its corporate cousin in terms luxury touches, along with some subtle exterior details.
At its exterior, GMS has given a high-gloss black finish on the window trim, skidplate, and mirror caps.

The interior also carries AT4-specific darkened trim, including dark-tinted and textured aluminum finishes on the steering wheel, center stack and sill plates, as well as a unique Jet Black/Kalahari color accents in the seats and live stitching. The AT4 also gets vertical tow hooks, too, unlike those on the regular truck.
GMC introduced the next-generation 2019 Sierra pickup on Thursday at an event in downtown Detroit. A head-up display offers information including an inclinometer - showing fore and aft tilt, front tire angle, and left and right tilt - on the windshield.
All-new ProGrade Trailering System with Trailering App offers a connected, comprehensive suite of trailering technology that brings more confidence to the towing experience than ever before in a Sierra. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles offers its Ram 1500-3500 pickup trucks in a variety of special editions, including the 2019 Ram 1500 Kentucky Derby Edition that will debut in NY. The CarbonPro carbon fiber bed also will be an option, replacing the steel inner bed box with a carbon fiber resin version for durability and weight savings. A 110V outlet in the rear routes power to the tools and supplies needed for a day at the track or on the trails. On the gas side, there's both the 6.2-liter and 5.3-liter V8 engines. As with the Silverado, available 6.2-liter V-8 and 3.0-liter inline-six turbodiesel engines will be paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The GMC Sierra AT4 goes on sale this fall. It's the first in a new line of off-road packages for the high-end truck brand.
Duke assistant Jeff Capel reportedly will take on tall task at Pittsburgh
For now, they'll settle for something resembling a competitive team after the worst season in the program's 113-year history. Capel previously served as head coach at VCU and Oklahoma, taking both schools to the NCAA tournament during his tenure.
