When broken down by political party, Trump's approval increased most among Republicans and independents, whose approval of his rose by 6% since last month.

The poll found that 42 percent of Americans approve of how Trump is handling the presidency, while 54 percent of Americans disapprove. Trump's approval rating remains below that of all of his modern-era predecessors at this stage in their first term after being elected, though Trump only trails Ronald Reagan and Barack Obama by a narrow 4 points at this point in their first terms.

Daniels detailed her alleged affair with Trump during an interview that aired Sunday on "60 Minutes", while former Playboy model Karen McDougal shared her story late last week on CNN. Seventy percent of women tend to believe the affairs occurred, compared to just 54 percent of men.

South Africa's Zuma to appear in court April 6 on corruption charges
The 16 counts were filed against Zuma but then dropped by the NPA shortly before he successfully ran for president in 2009. He said that the deal also requires his predecessor to repay the money if he's found personally culpable of the charges.

"I understand we're supposed to beat our chests and say, 'This is frightful and blah blah blah, ' and I'm not a great supporter of Donald Trump at all", he added. Forty-two percent of voters gave Trump positive marks in that poll. Results for the full sample have a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3.7 percentage points, it is larger for subgroups. I mean this is - its not either they're going to decide that they don't think that it happened as we saw what happened with the "Access Hollywood" tape, or they're going to just say they don't care, that it doesn't matter. Looking at intensity of approval, however, the share who strongly approve of Trump's performance (28% in the new poll) and strongly disapprove (46%) have held relatively steady over a similar time frame, suggesting the fluctuation in Trump's ratings comes largely among those whose views on the President aren't that deeply held.

The poll shows that Trump continues to get his strongest ratings on the economy - 48 percent approve, while 45 percent disapprove. Moreover, 47 percent believe that the president has not been hard enough on Russian Federation, while 41 percent believe that he has handled Russian Federation appropriately. It seems that the president now has the highest approval rating in 11 months. So while this is certainly good news for the GOP, a sustained effort to maintain this momentum will be key in surviving the dreaded midterm elections.
