TMZ reports that Eggert appeared on Dr. Oz earlier this month and gave more details on what Baio allegedly did to her.

"There are a lot of weird, unusual rumors about things that went on between us, but we became really good friends and everything is way more innocent than it was made out to be", Eggert told Yahoo then. The evidence it contains proves beyond doubt that she initiated our one and only sexual contact and that it was well after she turned 18.

"Nicole is making up these claims about me", Baio said. "I was in the moment of the show" in which that interview was conducted", she told Kelly. "For me, it was always about protecting the show", she added. You'll ruin everybody's life.' And it's scary. The shocking claim was met with immediate rebuff by Baio, who vehemently denies any wrongdoing. Eggert said, "There was a lot of manipulation that went into it. But I was 17". He called her claims "untrue" and "provably wrong". "When I worked on Charles in Charge in '88, I sat with you while you cried about that abusive asshole". She noted that this influenced her 2012 interview with Yahoo, in which she said the two became "really good friends" and that "everything is way more innocent than it was made out to be". "Any normal, heterosexual, red-blooded American guy, the outcome would have been the same".

Adam Carl, a writer on the show, responded to Eggert's original tweet, defending her. She acknowledged that there were "a lot of weird unusual rumors about things that went on between us", but insisted it was all "way more innocent than it was made out to be".

In fact, they did work together after Charles in Charge. On Tuesday, January 30, the actress and lawyer Lisa Bloom appeared on Megyn Kelly TODAY addressing the validity of her claims.

Eggert went on to say that he began playing with her emotions, noting that "he was our boss" and would often ensure her silence by threatening that she would be "out of a job" if word got out of the sexual incidents, which the actress confirmed happened just about "every week". You lie. I didn't want anybody to look at me and think I was weak. While the tweet has been deleted, Polinsky told Kelly that he stood behind what he wrote and was not referring to sexual abuse.

Alexander Polinsky, who starred on the show with Eggert and Baio tweeted about the alleged assault as well. On Tuesday, Eggert told Kelly she was still weighing her options.

On Tuesday's Megyn Kelly Today, Kelly also interviewed filmmaker Jennifer Jarosik, who alleges music mogul Russell Simmons sexually assaulted her twice - once in 2011 in his office in NY, and another time at his home in Los Angeles in 2016.

She said that even though she was dating someone, she had sex with Baio because she was embarrassed about being a virgin and needed someone to "pop the cherry and make me a veteran". "She said he molested me as a child and I didn't know any better", Richie said in a statement.
