MI authorities and the U.S. Marshals are searching for a Sumpter Township man and woman after police found a 4-year-old daughter dead in their home.
Police records also paint a chaotic scene at the couple's home where Fields was accused of assaulting Diaz, shooting her dog and then shooting himself.
Severe burns covered the little girl's extremities, according to police who responded to a 911 call at the Sumpter Township, Mich., mobile home park, just before 11 a.m. on January 1.
She was taken to the hospital and shortly after pronounced dead.
The coroner ruled the death a homicide due to signs of battered child syndrome.
Authorities believe they're driving a black 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier, with MI license plate DTR1854.
