Arriving in the 70th year of Land Rover, the model pays homage to the original two-door Range Rover from 1970 (pictured below). Officially launched at the Geneva Motor Show 2018, the two-door 4x4 SUV will be hand-built in the United Kingdom and limited to just 999 examples.
Land Rover will probably start selling the Coupe by the end of this year, promising to offer its customers "an alluring combination of peerless luxury and rarity". We're also curious to see whether this model will feature any other exterior details that will set it apart from four-door models. We'll have to wait until the Geneva Motor Show in March for the unveiling of the vehicle - one of the highlights of Land Rover's 70th anniversary year. Each one of the 999 Range Rover SV Coupe's will be hand built by Land Rover's Special Vehicle Operations division in Warwickshire in the UK. It's likely to be priced well above even the most expensive four-door Range Rover, with prices pushing the £250,000 mark.
In a statement, Land Rover's head of design, Gerry McGovern, said the Range Rover would have "peerless refinement and breathtaking exterior proportions". The three-door model will debut at the Geneva auto show on March 6. The front seats will also get heating and massage functions; however, owing to the fact that the SV Coupe only has two doors, passengers will have to unceremoniously climb over the large, armchair-like front seats to get in and out. "This is a vehicle that will resonate on an emotional level".
Attackers storm NGO office in Afghan city, clashes underway
No group has claimed responsibility at this point and Save The Children has not released an official statement at this time. The office of the global aid agency Save the Children in the eastern Afghan city of Jalalabad was attacked Wednesday.
However, an image of the interior shows an opulent cabin with premium leather upholstery, wood trim, and a full-length center console.
The auto will be hand assembled by Special Vehicle Operations in Warwickshire, UK.
