Already, this year's Grammys is set to be one of the most anticipated in the ceremony's long history.

This year, the live broadcast will return to Madison Square Garden for a cooler, more confined celebration of achievers who have excelled in 84 categories and numerous genres of the music recording industry.

"As the birthplace of salsa in East Harlem, hip-hop in the Bronx and punk rock in the East Village, it's a fitting return to the city that gets the whole world dancing", said Menin, adding that it had taken a year of negotiations to secure the ceremony.

However, Menin said: "I don't think there is (a misunderstanding)".

50 Cent didn't win any Grammys that night. Childish Gambino, Khalid, No I.D. and SZA all have five each.

This year, he is back with album of the year nominee "Damn." and record of the year entry "Humble". The track, performed by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee and featuring a verse by Justin Bieber, would be the first non-English song to win song of the year since the very first Grammy Awards in 1959, when Domenico Modugno and Franco Migliacci won for "Volare", which was sung in Italian, the Los Angeles Times reported in November 2017. There's no doubt that "Laila's Wisdom" and "Flower Boy" were fantastic projects in their own rights, and Migos' album "Culture" that undoubtedly put them on top of the next generation of hip-hop superstars. You have Julia Michaels who's not only nominated for this category but also for Song of the Year with "Issues".

Rapsody is also nominated for the Grammy for best rap album, for Laila's Wisdom.

This year's Grammy duel between Jay-Z and Kendrick Lamar won't be settled until Sunday. Of all the nominees this year, the song that best suits the category's recent trajectory is Logic's 1-800-273-8255, with a suicide-awareness message that voters will likely perceive as meaningful. Mars' slick, charismatic showmanship sounds like a winning combination with the exuberant, outsized personality of Cardi B, who's continued her 2017 winning streak into the new year with a record-breaking run on the charts and two Grammy nominations, including best rap song and performance for Bodak Yellow.

To determine the best-selling Grammy Award winners of all time, 24/7 Wall St. analyzed album and digital singles sales data from the Recording Industry Association of America. Because the cut-off date for Grammy nominations eligibility was September 30, 2017, Swift's November release, Reputation, wasn't in the running for awards consideration.
