DJI, better known for their range of drones, is introducing a new version of its smartphone stabiliser at CES 2018. DJI also showed us an early preview of an upcoming Focus Control Center consisting of a focusing dial and a screen, allowing users to really control their entire camera while its mounted on this support system.

In the companion DJI GO app there's an ActiveTrack feature to lock onto and follow subjects, while Motion Timelapse supports up to five different camera positions. "With the introduction of these two stabilizers, DJI now offers gimbal technology to help unlock the creative storyteller in everyone no matter what camera they're using", said Paul Pan, Senior Product Manager at DJI. Plus, if your lens and camera sensors have their own optical stabilization, the gimbal's advanced stabilization algorithms will work in tandem with them to produce the best footage. The DJI Ronin-S release date will be available in the next few months through DJI's online store as well as it retail partners (i.e. Amazon and the Apple Store).
