Wise's character has the potential to pull a Falcon in Ant-Man and cameo all around the Marvel movie universe. When the trailer dropped it garnered 89 million views in 24 hours, making it (at the time) the third most popular MCU trailer after only Civil War and Thor: Ragnarok. The film, which is set in the 1990s, will follow Larson as Air Force pilot Carol Danvers, who later becomes the super-powered Captain Marvel after her DNA is fused with an alien's after an accident. Monica would be a fantastic addition to the big screen world of Marvel, as well as potentially opening the door for another fan fave to join the team.
