Scott Frost is expected to be named the next head coach at Nebraska, according to a person with knowledge of the search.

College football insider Brett McMurphy was first to report the news on Saturday afternoon.

It's understandable that Frost would feel at least some remorse, considering that he has done an incredible job of turning around UCF in the past two seasons.

Despite having to face Messi, Nigeria striker Odion Ighalo was pleased to avoid the other giants of world football. In other words, despite recent struggles, Argentina is a team with its eyes on the prize.

He then took Central Florida to a different level this season, rolling to a ideal 12-0 record and then winning the American Athletic Conference Championship on Saturday afternoon with a 62-55 double-overtime victory over Memphis. When he initially took over the Knights in the winter of 2015, they were coming off an 0-12 season.

A former Nebraska quarterback from 1995-97, Frost turned away interest from Florida and deflected questions about his future in the days leading up to the AAC championship game.

Previously, Frost was the offensive coordinator for the University of Oregon. Even before Nebraska fired coach Mike Riley, there was a near universal feeling that the program would pursue Frost, who led UCF to a 12-0 regular season.
