The tweet was later deleted and the Navy later apologized for the mistake.

The official Wikileaks Twitter account, which in the past has appeared to be directly controlled by Assange, is still up and running.

It's still unclear what exactly happened to Assange's Twitter account, and it's absence prompted some to speculate that he was being silenced by the social media platform.

Julian Assange's Twitter account is missing.

The big mystery may be that Assange (or whomever else has the keys to his account) accidentally clicked something and didn't realize it until later.

The Twitter account of Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks, apparently has disappeared, CBS News is reporting.

Four killed as bus crashes into underground passageway…
Monday was a working day in Russian Federation because Orthodox Christmas is celebrated on January 7, according to Reuters . The harrowing video shows a number of people appearing to be crushed by the bus as it disappears into the subway.

"#JulianAssange has been deleted off of twitter".

But there was no evidence Assange was behind that account and it has since been suspended by Twitter. We got this one by searching for twitter.com/JaydaBF, the far-right Britain First deputy leader Jayda Fransen who President Donald Trump retweeted. In the meantime, consider it an early Christmas present.

However, an archive of the WikiLeaks founder's microblog can be easily found on the Internet.

Assange sought asylum in the embassy in June 2012 to escape rape charges in Sweden, which he has denied.

Neither Twitter nor Assange has commented on the matter, though the 46-year-old has already tweeted several times since his return to the network - mostly soliciting donations. Sweden has since dropped those charges, but the United Kingdom government has threatened to arrest Assange should he leave the embassy due to a separate warrant.
