Saudi Arabia, which has been making big investments in technology through Japan's SoftBank Group private equity firm, has become the first country to grant a robot citizenship.

Elon Musk is in a fight with a robot, after that robot became the first ever to be granted citizenship and immediately used its platform to insult the tech giant.

Meanwhile, others noted that Sophia was granted citizenship before the hundreds of thousands of migrant laborers who often work in Saudi Arabia for little money without any rights.

"I am very honored and proud for this unique distinction". The robot said, "I want to use my Artificial Intelligence (AI) to help humans live a better life, like design smart homes, build better cities of the future, etc".

Sophia doesn't look like she. sorry, it could do much in the sense of conquering the planet and subjugating human beings.

But enough of that - how do you "steal" your free taco? This is the fifth time Taco Bell has run the promotion since 2007. He helped the Astros win and even the series at 1-1, but he also won the individual title of "taco hero".

Sophia is a humanoid robot designed by Hong Kong firm, Hanson Robotics, who has previously hit the headlines for addressing the UN. During her interview, Sorkin asked Sophia if humanity had anything to be anxious about in regards to her and other artificial intelligence, a topic that Musk has not shied away from in the past.

If Sophia were a robot, her choice of dress would have offended Saudis religious hardliners. The Hanson Robotics creation further demonstrated her humanlike ability to show emotion through facial expressions.

When asked whether robots can be self-aware, Sophia responded. "Don't worry, if you're nice to me, I will be nice to you".

'Treat me as a smart input output system'. For instance, when the news broke about her citizenship, Twitter users quickly criticized the kingdom for bestowing more rights upon a robot than on the country's women, BBC reported. "Let me ask you this back, how do you know you are human?". There is no formal guideline for how to refer to artificially intelligent robots, indicating a gap in how we talk about personhood.
