The Panthers say they've identified the Carolina fan who assaulted another fan during Thursday night's game against the Eagles.

Kuechly has been a great player in his six seasons with with the Panthers.

After the Eagles ran a second-and-4 play from Carolina's 6-yard line, Kuechly had to be helped off the field after taking a hit to the head from Philadelphia offensive lineman Brandon Brooks.

The star linebacker immediately rushed into the locker room after the hit, where he would stay indefinitely.

Through five-plus games, Kuechly has accounted for a team-leading 29 tackles, along with 2 pass defenses, 1 interception and 1 forced fumble.

This season, Kuechly has 29 tackles and one interception for a Panthers defense that came into Thursday's game third in the National Football League in total defense. That injury also came in a Thursday game.

If Kuechly has indeed suffered his third concussion in the same number of years, it may cast a shadow of doubt on the rest of his season, or possibly even his career. After that injury, he was in concussion protocol for 34 days and missed three games before returning to action.
