Manchester United's Fellaini suffers knee injury ahead of Liverpool clash

Manchester United have already suffered some bad news on the injury front this global break, with Marouane Fellaini having reportedly picked up knee ligament damage while on duty with Belgium.

Manchester United's injury woes worsened after Marouane Fellaini hurt his knee during Belgium's 4-3 World Cup qualifying win over Bosnia and Herzegovina yesterday morning (Singapore time).

While they have nursed one United star back to fitness, Belgium have seen another laid low while away on worldwide duty. We have not lost a league match this season, dropping points only at Stoke with Lukaku leading our charge with seven league goals already.

United manager Jose Mourinho had voiced concerns over how the global break could stall his side's momentum ahead of next Saturday's high-profile clash against Liverpool at Anfield and a mounting injury list will only dampen his mood. Martinez's decision to pick Marouane Fellaini against Bosnia was not wrong per se; it was, above anything, the poor playing surface that caused problems.

The Red Devils won an epic worldwide match 4-3 but having already qualified, Jose Mourinho can say with some accuracy that his player should not have been involved.

Can't put metro rail fare on hold: Centre to Delhi govt
The Metro fares were last revised in May when the minimum tariff was raised from Rs 8 to Rs 10. However, Centre should provide the other half of the funds.

Mourinho's team face Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday in a lunchtime kickoff before a Champions League trip to Benfica on Wednesday.

Mourinho will hope Fellaini's injury is not as bad as feared.

"I don't think the state of the pitch played any part and it was just a collision between two strong players who wanted to win the ball, and unfortunately Marouane ended up with damage in his ligament".

The Portuguese manager is already without Paul Pogba, who is a long-term absentee while Michael Carrick also remains sidelined with a knock.

It seems very likely that Ander Herrera will play for Manchester United alongside Nemanja Matic at Anfield on Saturday lunchtime. After scoring 25 goals over 141 appearances with the club, he moved on to Manchester United in the form of a four-year deal in September 2013.
