Austin police say a man dressed as Santa Claus is in custody after shooting at least three people at a Halloween party.

Three of the victims - a man in his 20s and two women in their 30s - were transported to an area hospital, including two with critical injuries.

Austin Police Detective Lee Knouse said in a press conference that around 6:12 a.m., Austin PD was alerted to a shooting at a private residence where a Halloween party was taking place.

While en route, police received information on a second location in the same area, and that's where the suspect was arrested - without incident.

I told the players they are not machines and its so hard to cope with worldwide duty, play every three days. It's very small and we will see for Wednesday, but tomorrow it's impossible.

It's believed the shooter in this case acted alone, and police said they're not seeking any further suspects. A female victim suffered life-threatening injuries, a male victim suffered potentially life-threatening injuries and another female suffered serious injuries, according to officials.

The Austin Fire Department and the Department of Public Safety also responded to the call.

Knouse said charges are likely but could not provide details, citing an ongoing investigation.
