One after another, many shocking details of carelessness and apathy is coming out of the Gurugram school where the cold-blooded murder of 7-year-old Pradyuman has shaken the core of every parent whose child is going to a school. The police alleged he had been killed by a school bus conductor. However, the parents of the deceased child claim that the school is making bus conductor a scapegoat and the real culprit is on the run.
Issuing notice, a bench of Chief Justice Dipak Misra, Justice A.M. Khanwilkar and Justice D.Y. Chandrachud also issued notice to the Union Human Resource Development Ministry and the Central Board of Secondary Education on Thakur's plea seeking framing of guidelines for the safety of students in schools.
The Police investigating the case revealed that on questioning the accused said that he attempted sexual assault on the child.
The police also exhumed confidence to satisfy everyone after concluding the investigation.
The report further said that there were no separate toilets for conductors and drivers and the wall behind the school remained unfinished which easily allowed anyone to enter the school premises without permission.
Ryan founders move HC for anticipatory bail
Varun Kumar Thakur, father of the seven-year-old student who was found brutally murdered with his throat slit inside Ryan International School in Gurugram on Friday, said that he will move the Supreme Court on Monday to seek a court-monitored CBI probe into the horrific crime.
The arrests come after hundreds of parents and locals protested against the school on the weekend, demanding action against the school management. The police resorted to lathi-charge to disperse the mob and detained 20 people.
The team is likely to question the school management in connection with the incident, an official said. A special investigation team will reach Mumbai to question school CEO Pinto and director Albert Pinto, they said.
The school management informed that the school will stay shut for another two days "to express solidarity with the parents and family of the child".
While inconsolable parents of Pradyuman await justice, we at People's Court hold the Ryan Group owners in the dock and hold them exclusively accountable for the boy's murder.
Unless a very strong case is made out against them too other schools will not take this issue seriously.
