Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has been involved in a serious vehicle accident in Amsterdam, Holland.

The 29-year-old will now be assessed by City medical staff after sustaining injuries in the crash.

Fans have expressed surprise that their star striker was at a gig overseas less than 48 hours before a crucial Premier League clash with Chelsea on Saturday - but Manchester City confirmed the player was on a day off.

Sergio Aguero, the striker of the world-famous team "Manchester City", was recently on the verge of death when he was involved in a auto crash in Amsterdam.

A two-month absence would mean Aguero would miss not only Saturday's meeting with Chelsea, but also matches against Arsenal and a Champions League tie with Napoli. The news also casts major doubts on the forward's participation in Argentina's crucial World Cup qualifiers against Peru (5 October) and Ecuador (10 October).

Antonio Conte has challenged Eden Hazard to repeat his dazzling performance against Atletico Madrid when Chelsea face title rivals Manchester City on Saturday.

Take off and drive, Saudi women!
Lifting the driving ban is part of a broader reform underway in Saudi Arabia led by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. A ministerial body will be set up to give advice and the royal order will be implemented by 24 June, 2018.

"I think his goal scoring is quite remarkable and he is a player that thrives on pressure".

"The taxi driver did not see the curve and skidded", Aguero told Radio Metro de Argentina. "When we were skidding we hit a post. It hurts me badly, I'll be discharged in a little while". "But exactly how many days he will be off, I don't know right now".

Manchester City lost both Premier League matches against Chelsea last season.

"After that, he will recover as soon as possible".

City are level on 16 points with Manchester United at the top of the table with Chelsea in third place on 13, and Aguero is one goal away from equalling Eric Brooks' all-time club record of 177 goals in all competitions.

Such high-class, specialist cover is not available to Guardiola at left-back, with Mendy - a £52million signing from Monaco during the close season and his only naturally left-sided defender - set to be sidelined until late April.
