In a bid to counter Reliance Jio's latest offers, telecom major Airtel has launched a series of new data and voice call plans for its prepaid customers starting as alow as Rs 5. However, it isn't available for all. However, Airtel is now offering 10% cashback for this plan, if paid via Airtel Payments Bank.
Rs 8 plan: Local and STD calls for 30 paisa Under the Rs 8 plan, Airtel subscribers will be able to make local and STD calls at 30 paisa per minute for a period of 56 days. There are 2 sachet offers for Rs 54 and Rs 24 with validity of 7 and 2 Days, respectively. According to Jio, users only pay for the data packages, voice calls and text messages along with their full bouquet of apps are complimentary and unlimited.
At a time when other telecom operators charged users hundreds of rupees every month for making calls over their networks, Mukesh Ambani-owned Reliance Jio entered the telecom sector with a bang, promising unlimited voice calls using its state-of-the-art VoLTE network.
