Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that the studio will likely start negotiating with the director shortly, and she will "enjoy enormous leverage".

Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman, starring Gal Gadot in the title role, further adds to this complicated, contradictory cluster of signs and symbols. If true, this could be a great sign for the continuously expanding DC Extended Universe. Jenkins' new deal could not only include directing Wonder Woman 2 but working with DC Entertainment president and chief creative officer Geoff Johns on a script treatment.
