Amidst growing demand for Biafra, Osinbajo insists on one Nigeria

Acting President Yemi Osibanjo who visited Cross River State yesterday on the last leg of his tour of states in the Niger Delta region, has assured the people and government of the state that the Federal Government has not forgotten them.

The Acting President also commended the state governor, Senator Ben Ayade for his development strides for the state, adding that the industrial hub would contribute immensely in the provision of employment for the teeming population of unemployed youths.

On arrival at the airport, Acting President Osinbajo had inspected the guard of honour mounted by troops of the Army, Navy and Air Force before proceeding to the Palace of the Obong of Calabar for a brief interaction.

"We are greater when we are together than when we are apart".

Osinbajo is expected to commission the Calabar monorail, the Calabar International Convention Centre and the Cross River Garment Factory.

"When people speak of Nigeria and respect this country, it is because of the diversity; because of the strength in numbers. Unity is absolutely important because God wants us to be united", Osinbajo said.

Rays put Bourjos on DL, brings up pitchers

He also said that government would also investigate issues between the people of Bakassi, the military and militants.

He said that for Nigeria to make progress, there was need for unity among Nigerians.

The Federal Government has pledged full support for the proposed Cross River 275km Super Highway and the Bakassi Deep Seaport.

According to him, the traditional institution had been the foundation of government.
