Wendy's, known for their sassy comebacks on social media, replied with a Herculean challenge: '18 million'. Wilkerson tweeted "Consider it done". Now that everything was made official, Wendy's held up its end of the bargain, and also chose to award Carter the year's supply of chicken nuggets 15,000,000 retweets early. "That's good for the nuggets and good for a $100k donation to [the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.] Consider it done".

"I want to give back", Wilkerson told Twitter.

According to a blog post from Twitter, big names like Amazon, Zedd, Jake Tapper, Kathy Griffin, Zara Larson, Busy Philipps, and Marco Rubio were part of the 3 million people (and counting) to signal boost "Nugget Boy" and his now massively viral tweet.

Wilkerson's tweet surpassed the record held by comedian Ellen DeGeneres for the selfie she took when she hosted the Oscars in 2014. I worked so hard to set that record'.

It's official. Twitter has a new World Record for retweets, at least until Beyonce has her baby twins.
